Digital support for the whole family
Previct Care gives families structure, insight and practical support to create a safer everyday life together. The Previct app can be used in collaboration with a caregiver to give a more complete picture of the whole family’s well-being, strengthen trust, encourage positive habits and build lasting routines.

Support for family members with Previct Care
Previct Care enables family members to take part in treatment via the Previct App. By answering well-being questions and receiving guidance, family members gain practical help in supporting someone with substance-related challenges. Previct Care helps caregivers create a more comprehensive view of how the whole family is doing and what support may be needed.
Family members can also view a loved one’s sobriety test results and receive notifications if tests are missed or if intoxication is detected.
Real-time digital support and follow-up
At the heart of Previct Care is the Previct Care Portal, which therapists use to monitor family members’ wellbeing remotely in real time. Family members download the Previct App to their phones and log how they feel using tailored questions and complete tasks, such as writing or recording diary entries.
Give children the freedom to be children
We must not forget that addiction can bring serious consequences for children in vulnerable families — from missed meals to witnessing or experiencing violence. Previct Care enables children to report their own wellbeing and to trigger an alarm in urgent situations, for example if a parent’s relapse is suspected. It can also help reassure a child that a parent is sober, so the child feels safe enough to invite a friend home.

“With digital support, we raise the children's voice. We create a channel for security and reduce the feeling of loneliness/vulnerability. Previct Care enables insight into the child's conditions.”

Children growing up in families affected by addiction
Many children describe a childhood shaped by a parent’s addiction, and research shows the effects can last well into adulthood. At the same time, children and parents often say they wish the problems had been noticed earlier — and that help had come sooner. The earlier we see and act, the better chance we have of giving children the security and support they need.
There is also hope. Studies show that a stable, caring environment helps build children’s resilience. Having at least one close, steady relationship with a supportive, protective and involved parent, relative or other trusted adult outside the family can make a crucial difference for a child.
Many children grow up in households where an adult has risky alcohol consumption
According to a calculation based on HLV, around 400,000 children were registered as living in a household with an adult who had risky alcohol consumption in 2020. That means roughly one in six children in Sweden has a close relationship with an adult at increased risk of physical, psychological and social harm.
